Every time I assign any control setting my game view goes "up and to the left" and the menu is off canter.

every time I assign any individual control my POV goes "up and to the left" and is clearly off center, rendering only 1/3 of the menu readable, although arrow keys do allow moving up and down the part of the menu that's legible. if I restart, the control assignment persists, but as it stands I've got a whole HOTAS to set up, I'd have to reload the game 100 times.

Any help here?

What's happening here is that you have an input device that is sending a signal to the game to rotate the view up and left. This could be a deadzone issue with the device, or a configuration issue with one of the buttons, or potentially even a completely different device that's attached to your PC sending the signal. Take a look at what's assigned to the head movement controls and unassign them, and also look at the device configuration, as well as unplugging any other devices to eliminate them as possible source.

If you want any further help then you will need to provide the information requested in the very first thread at the top of the forum, including your DXDiag and vulkaninfo, proper details of what kind of input devices you have, and also the config.xml file that you're using.
