At this point it is game breaker. I use scouts as fast taxi while managing in map mode.
Suggested workaround:
"Ships stuck in geometry
Ship have been known to fly through some geometry such as station modules. While some manage to reach their destination, others may get stuck. Leaving the sector should allow them to continue. Also, if you fly towards a surface and save just before collision, you may find yourself on the other side of the surface after the save cycle completes"
is impossible for my gameplay style. I need to use my captain skill to fly me safely to destination while I am occupied doing my stuff on strategic map level that there is no way I could react before "stuck in geometry" accident happens.
It just does happen and I get noticed by strange thumbling sounds and it is too late already.
Until it is solved I am not going to play this game and buy any additional content.

Under the relatively recent physics engine, a ship stuck in/on another asset should free itself by blink-jumping a short distance away after the AI has spent a short time confirming that it cannot fly out. It seems to be working for me in about 95% of 'getting stuck in/on something IS' cases now and the remaining 5% can be resolved by going OOS/low attention for a short while.
