Advanced Trading System Commands Needed

I realized something.

I want to use Osprey's as Energy Cell transporters for my SPP's and Crystal importers because they have decent cargo space and enough guns/shields to defend demselvs with, and are faster than regular transports (ok, a bit extravagant but that's what I wanna do.)

The main problem is that it cannot dock, it need a M5 to do that for them and that screws up my plan.

I need multiple commands for my future Teladi Harriers that transport the goods to my Ospreys.

The following commands would be needed. The following example is for SELLING wares through a M5

1. M5 trade [cargo] from [Home base 2] to [Homebase 1]

Homebase 1 is the Osprey and Homebase 2 is the station owned by the player.

2. M5 Trade [cargo] from [homebase 1] to [Customer]

Homebase 1 is the osprey and Customer is the station with the favorable price.

The reversed would aply when you buy things as a resource for one of your stations.

3. M5 trade [cargo] from [Customer] to [Homebase 1]

Homebase 1 is the Osprey and Homebase 2 is the station owned by the player.

4. M5 Trade [cargo] from [Homebase 1] to [Homebase 2]

What do you think? This would make the M6 class a heavy armoured transporter with enough firepower to get through hostile areas.

A few other commands would be needed as well.

6. Halt [M6] when within X KM of target [Customer/Homebase] (Initiates Step 7)

7. Load [M5] with X amount of cargo and go to [Station] (This would initiate the Buy/Sell command seen in step 1-4)

8. Return [M5] when cargo hold is emty, repeat step 7 until specified amount of cargo is sold (remember, you might want your M6 to use jumpdrive for 20-30 crystals)

9. Return [M5] when specified cargo is sold to [Homebase 1]

10. This one is enabled after [9] and the [M5] has docked. The M6 will now return towards homebase 2 and and repeat everything again.

Since I know squat about scripting I'm just gonna cross my fingers on this one, it would make trading with shuttles and having trade routes a lot easier.

you have a few options

1: get writing

2: use one of the already-written "supply my big ship" scripts

3: don't trade in such dangerous sectors that you need such a powerful ship to survive

4: use "regular" transports (a pirate TS carries half the osprey's load, almost as fast, for a fraction of the price, and can carry big guns) or perhaps a TP or two, which are much faster.

or my personal choice:
5: use regular unarmed transports with a couple of drones apiece, and have the Osprey do what it does best - fly interception on the distracted bad guys

the time taken to load/unload at each end of these trips will cancel out the saving made by the miniscule increase in top speed the Osprey has over the faster TSs, and would still be slower than any TP. also, multiple buying runs by the harrier would cause you to run at a great loss, as the price changes after EACH buy - you'd dock the first time and load up for 9 credits each for that hundred, then 10 credits for the next 100, and so on
