This has been an ongoing issue for me for at least the last year. My game has never been modified and this has happened with terran and the newer boron carriers. No matter what i did, the ships wont come out of storage and its lowering the effectiveness of my carriers. Im forced to periodically sell and rebuild new carriers every few days.
My initial thought was i could sell the fighters and they would go away but this does nothing. as you can see in the screenshot, there are 4 fighters stuck on this carrier with no owner and no way to be removed.

The devs cannot investigate why those fighters have no ownership from a screenshot. An open public sharing link to an uploaded vanilla save showing the issue happening (or preferably reliably about to happen) would be needed.

OK and thanks, but be aware that is a one download and then delete site. I won't look at it or the devs won't see it. It's always nice to tell the devs the steps to find or see the issue on loading the save too.

Basically look at either of my two carriers. There one in my Personal Escort fleet and another in the assault fleet. There are fighters stuck on both of them.
