[6.10] Random encouners far from sector center spawning stations

First of all: I am not playing 100% unmodified. I am using my own mod changing the volumetric fog parameters: viewtopic.php?f=181&t=456998
Nothing that should affect gameplay in any way and savegames are compatible with vanilla.

Basic info:
- Version: 6.10 HF1 (I am fairly sure the problem first occurred on 6.10)
- Language: eng
- gamestart: untested explorer


The problem:
I engaged travel mode, opened a map and forgot for a while, I ended up few thousand kilometers away from sector center,
When I noticed and got back, the sector map view did not shrink:

There was nothing there before, I do not have any discovered places there. The only things that I encountered were some random xenon and NPC miners/pirates
that spawn regularly when going beyond sector bounds.

I just kept playing but the broken zoom started annoying me
so I went into the save file and found that a station spawned on the path that I flew. Just to expedite the process I set it's ownership to myself to find it:

I suppose that's the reason that the map didn't shrink.
The fact that while I was flying by, a station just popped into existence outside my sensor range,
remained undiscovered and blocked the map from shrinking seems like a bug.

What's additionally curious is that long-range scanner does not work on this station. I can send a pulse but no "unknown station" appears on the map.

Edit:
It's also possible that Argon build this station normally but the place was chosen erroneously while I was drifting. (Build started - and made the station permanent, then it finished building later while I was playing). Either way this seems like something unintended. It's not a hidden xenon/khaak station or anything
