Hello ,great Citizens of X4 World. Can someone Help me please ? Yesterday i was boarding an Gorgone Sentinel of Holy Order of the Pontifex Faction ( i make War to them everywhere and Always it's possible, i hate this faction) with my own gorgon Sentinel . I right click on the ennemy ship, click boarding and for the first step, i take the option to deactivate ennemy Shield engines. And when the first step IS launched, the game give me the objective "destroy turrets". I reload my previous save, choose another option other turrets and the game gives me "destroy turrets" again.
I dont understand... Boarding objectives depends on the type of ennemy ships ??? I must train my soldiers more ???

Re: Boarding ships bugged ?
I'm totally confused by your post. The Gorgon is an M sized fighter so you don't 'borrow' it by boarding, you shoot at it carefully until hopefully all the crew have bailed out. Then you claim the abandoned ship by scanning the data leak by its suit hatch.
No marines are needed and you cannot deactivate/destroy the shields, turrets or engines on M ships; either they bail or they will remain fully functional until you destroy the whole ship when it runs out of hull points.

Oh sorry, the ennemy ship was'nt a Gorgon Sentinel , was an Odysseus Sentinel.
The mission was given by the Holy Order Faithful. It's an hard mission gived in the war between Holy Order Faithful and Holy Order of the Pontifex.
But attacking tourets it's too hard and i prefer other boardin objectives like shields but it dont works...

Re: Boarding ships bugged ?
If it's the first step and boarding pods aren't yet launched then you need choose for 1st step "Very high".
This will define state when boarding pods are launched (based on target ship defence). With "Very high" all turrents can be exist in the ship but it will be more risky for your pods because target ship can use it's turrets to destroy them.
Behaviour selection is irrelevant in case you're flying the boarding ship by yourself.
It will only matters in case NPC handles the ship as then that will be their "task" during the boarding in ongoing.

Re: Boarding ships bugged ?
Those are not the objectives you are looking for.
Boarding has three phases:
* First completes when all the pods have reached the target ship
* Second completes when hull has been breached
* Third completes when either all the marines or all the defenders are dead
You select difficulty for the first phase. That is amount of turrets on the target ship. "Very Strong" means all turrets intact, "Very Weak" means all turrets are disabled. The default is "Weak". The pods will not launch before the turrets are down to chosen difficulty.
You select difficulty for the second phase. The strength of target's hull. The breach operation will not start before the hull is weak enough. The default is "Strong"; hull must be under 80% for the second phase to start.

Re: Boarding ships bugged ?
To add on, when choosing the "behavior" of a ship during a boarding operation (such as target engines, target shields, etc), that is what the ship will do if flown by an AI pilot, which can help make reaching the objectives of phase 1 and 2 easier. So disabling engines can make it easier to hit turrets/shields, disabling shields can make it easier (or possible) to damage the hull, etc.
But again, that's when the ship is piloted by AI. If boarding with a single ship flown by yourself, I personally dont even bother setting behavior.

Re: Boarding ships bugged ?
I think this thread has become more about how to board, rather than a Tech Sp report. I'll move it to the gameplay forum.
