Any lore friendly mod to add quests?

Hi, i have two questions; i hope that someone can help:
The first one is related to if a specific mod do exists or not; basically i miss some mission types like the "defend this station" ones from x3, you could get battle missions easily; i would like to know if exists a mod that put those type of quests or something close to it but that is lore friendly.

The second one i probably know the answer but Hope is the last one to die so who knows if someone can have a different answer; is it possible to revert a modified save to a clean unmodified one?
