Debuggin help

Post by Fwuffy Wabbit »

Hello, I made a stupid mistake and now can't seem to fix it. I turned on the debugging to check out a script that I was running, and then forgot to turn it off. It has been on for quite a while and my saves are now quite messed up. I have tried to tell it to clear the debugging information, but it just locks the game up. I thought maybe it was just taking a long time, but I let it sit for :30 min and it didn't do anything. My guess is that it is just too large to be understood by the game. Is there any way that I can remove the debugging information from the save externally. I have looked at it w/ a Hex Editor and can't seem to find anything (I don't really know that much about Hex Editing). So, if anyone has any tips or ideas of what I could try, I would be very much appreciative.

if the debug script runs on a ship, you can try and destory that ship. never tested this out, but normally this should clear all associated information.
but if you have bad luck, this may lock up your game, too..
