Is it possible to hold a button to be able to look around? Like Hold B or any other button and use left or right stick to look around, is it possible?
With the keyboard you hold Shift + Middle Mouse Button and then move the mouse around.

There's a shortcut for mouse look.
It is works in "toggle" mode, that is, press to enable mouse look, look around, press to disable mouse look.
Not sure if there's "hold" mode available.

Looking around with a joystick was and still is possible in x3, but unfortunately not possible in X4 because X4 doesn't have mixed inputs.
In controller settings outside of the game, remap left stick to keyboard wasd and add mode switch to right stick to become left stick on pressing button of your choice. Then in game control settings under controller tab change the remapped left stick to pov look around. Strafe with wasd, on left stick, then press mode switch button and look around with right stick.
