Good Day,
I have a question. I am new to X4 modding. If I want to replace something already in the game, like a ship paint, so it has a new look. Another example: if I want to change the stats of weapons and upload the changes as an mod to the workshop. Do I just have to copy the file I want to edit and place it in my mod folder (example ..\extensions\myMod) or how do I change it.
Thanks for your answers.

Hi and welcome Feldsperling
Top of this forum you'll find a sticky thread with many useful links. Those include how to start modding and, to be more specific, also one tutorial on how to change paint jobs. I suggest you start there and if you are stuck then just post your questions here. You will find that there are many very helpful players in this community.
