Hub gates

I'm at the point in the Void plot where I get to choose where to insert the hub ( 3-eyes, Boron, Pirate, Dukes) and aside from not knowing if it really makes any difference I'd like to know if I can change the gates again later on.

It doesn't really make a difference. It just changes where one of the gates will connect to the real universe. You can change it later by paying 10k energy cells.
