A better more logical alternative will be an enhanced Equipment dock with more capital ship docking bays. Or a specialized capital ship supply base. I thought that Goner temple would be able to dock more cap ships as its pretty expensive. But I was wrong.

I was feeling the same way, but then it ocured to me that Equipment docks have always been pretty much useless. In FL, having poor M6/TS docking at the HQ gives me a good reason to use EQ docks. It's kind of fun to have a dock as a mini HQ in sectors where I'm active a lot. I think either way has benefits.

I will say that passenger shuttles often dock at the HQ regardless of permissions, thus reducing the TS docking to 4 - very low.

As far as EQDs go, Boron EQD is the best one as it can hold infinite number of non capital ships. Still it doesnt solve the capital ship docking limitation. I wish we can buy those huge Terran orbital things. Now they support 4-5 docking bays.
