Auto-tracking, firing front mounted turret...
Is this possible? So all one has to do is fly towards the enemies..
Seems like that would be possible and desirable considering the technology presented in the game.
Front MOunted Auto-Turrets?

Why would firing the lasers lock out the ship control?
I can fire the turret lasers from the main autopilot, so why not fire the main lasers from the turret's computer? If the main autopilot's not in use then there's nothing locking the controls. Admittedly, the guns would still only be able to move in their limited fassion.

hmm
don't mess up the cockpit-linked main guns and front gun turrets like e.g. a TL may have for example... when flying in the cockpit you can't fire the turret guns there. Then again the AI can control them afaik.... only I guess the topic is referring to e.g. constructing an M6 or smaller with a spare turret to the front...JustHere4Coffee wrote:that functionality is already built-in though...
it's called a "fire button"
