Hi,
With the LFL I found a "Discovery" box. After picking it up it said "Cargo bay now contains..Discovery", but there is nothing in my cargo. What does this do besides adding discovery points?

That's all it does. There are also "Special Discovery" boxes which are physically added to your cargo hold and stay there until you turn them in at any Explorers Guild representative for more discovery points. This only works in version 1.10, though.

Never played AP; all X3 advice is based on vanilla+bonus pack TC or before: AP has not changed much WRT general advice.
