Hey everyone,
I find it quite annoying to see the stations or auxiliary ship's traders idling around when they got nothing to do. Unfortunately egosofts solution (switch subordinates from landed-started in the commanders options menu) doesn't work for traders, just for defending or attacking wings). Has anyone an idea how to solve this?

Seconded.
I'll bet performance improvements would follow.

Re: [REQUEST] Automatic docking of idle traders
Hello,
We don't gain performance if traders stay docked while in idle. It's more a thing of blocking docking slots at stations, especially L class ships.
Thinking about a script running at station/carrier for checking if a docking slot is required and who to force undock first is probably a bigger performance hit then idling undocked.
Eventually an option at resupply ships/carriers for there subordinate traders to stay docked, even if blocking other ships, would be great. Other traders idle should preferably dock at nearest station if enemies got in range, but this checks also take CPU power for every idling ship ...
