Been wondering something.

Will this be possible with the script editor.

I used to play games like Freespace and freespace 2, and they had the option to call in support from command menue, with will then jump in, and refuell and repair your ship.

I was thinking like a ship reasembles the TP class that will dock with you and then reapair and rearm it.

Im on the way to creating a script that can use capital craft to repair your ship (as for rearm you have to make sure Its filled with the bits you need)

Unfortunatly the current script editor doesn't alow for the altering of the Hull strength as I have sadly found out

At least it alows for the retrival of the current Hull status though which is good.

My script is using a work around that will Replace the ship and transfer the Items. This should make it look like the exact same ship (except for the name and rego that I cant alter)

Hoping to Have the first version out by the end of the week. That if i can sqweeze in the puter time to do it.

There is a laser type in the tlasers file that actualy repairs a ship when it hits is. Or at least I think it does, its got a negative dammage amount and all the other lasers have positive dammage amounts.....

You could equip your supply ship with one of those and have it fire on the ships that's being reopaired untill it's hull was maxed.

Would look pretty cool if it's a beam weapon.... :D

from what I remember from other people's tests, it does look cool - but that's all you get; no actual repairs, merely cool looks
