im wanting to make some new ship moddles for x2 but dont have a clue on whats needed ....can anyone help this poor noob .... :D

Create some 3D ship models, import them into 3DSMax 5, export them with the EGO dle plugin for 3DSMax 5 as a bod file as described in the X2 ModKit 1.3 (from EGOSOFTs d/load page), replace a current ship with it or use a ship in the code of X2 but not in the game (like the XShuttle) and start your game.

There is more to it then above but this is the general idea. Study the d/loaded ModKit 1.3 and see if it suits you.

Also, if you have not got 3DS Max 5, someone who does have it can convert your 3D model for you. If you have made a model in a different 3D program, there a various converters out there to convert it to an obj, 3ds or whatever format 3DS Max can import.
