question about buying the game
should I buy the regular edition or get the collectors edition if I'm new to the x series and this is my first game? (besides playing the rebirth demo to get an impression and see if I like it)

Re: question about buying the game
Collectors, as you get 2 DLCs with it. Split Vendetta and the one coming out end of the year or start of 2021. You can find it for ~£45/~$56/€53

The Split DLC grows the world substantially and adds a lot of cool new ships.
I feel like going standard edition will give you far less in "bang for buck" compared to collectors edition.
That's just my opinion. Obviously as a long time X-Series fan you can only take that with a grain of salt.

Re: question about buying the game
If you get just the base game now, you can get a feel for whether you like it or not. If you add the DLC to it later, there should be no need to start a new game, new sectors will simply open up. So if you are on the fence, just get the base game now, it doesn't hurt to get the DLC later once you are better informed.
