Repair Drones

Is there a setting or a hotkey that I'm missing for these things?

I'm running around in a Rattlesnake fighting things, and in the middle of combat my repair drones will decide to pop out and repair, fly in front of my turrets or my main guns, and get themselves blown up.

Or, if I'm trying to make a retreat as I start to take too much damage, these tiny drones will some how keep me from moving properly.

I've tried looking for a way to disable them like there is for defense drones, but I haven't found it... Am I missing something with them, or is the only logic they have to fly out in combat and die to friendly fire due to flying in front of shooting guns?

+1 the repair drones should have a disarm option like any other drones. Often they fly out during combat and get all blown up, and after combat my crippled ship has nothing to repair itself with.

Hm, interesting ... I wonder the whole time how I do get repair drones to launch and do their job on an Argon or Teladi Fregatte (M ship) with hull ~ 70%?

Have to check the ships again, perhaps the drones don't work because they are not there anymore because they DID launch once and got killed already?

I just notice the repair drones launching when ever a subsystem (like a turret, or my forward guns on the Rattlesnake) get damaged.

It would be cool if you could configure them, have options like

"Launch at 50% hull, or if ship has destroyed subsystems, if no enemies are within 25km"

With an optional ability to launch them manually.

"it would be cool" aren't the right words.

We need this very badly :lol: At lest the command "armed" "not armet".
