How to Tactical retreat or ran away when thing don't go well?
I recalled when game come out, Travel Mode is good to get out or avoid enemie when you don't want to fight or gave up. but now I noticed that I couldn't get travel Mode when enemies shooting at ship, even low or no shield wouldn't help (it's was fast or quicker drained), Is there is way to outrun enemies if no jump drive/travel Mode wasn't working when enemies shoot? It's no fun to play when game screen game over or had to reload to travel back to time, so go on. I like something similar keep player playing go on even a immortal like old game mount and blade/warband, no matter how many you lose battle you don't die and keep going, that would be good thing because no need to travel back to time like reload or start new game.

When you do the player HQ mission, you can teleport out of the ship that’s in danger. There is usually enough time to do this if you are in a medium ship or up. Fighters tend to get one shotted though.

NPCs use the flee command a lot now - I have small patrol groups, and the badly injured ones escape a lot with the flee command. Nice to watch
For the player ship - if you really have to go, then fly towards the enemy (use W-A-S-D to dodge the bullets). Once you passed the enemy, you can use the fact that he has to turn - which mostly is sufficient time to fire up travel drive.
Fleeing in a straight line almost everytime gets you killed. If you have a faster ship than the enemy, you could try dodging while fleeing - but this is more difficult (as you can't see the incoming fire / direction - so dodging is not so accurate).
If you dodge good enough you might get some shields back - which enables easy mode. Just boost away & activate travel mode

Thank, but it's might not work if before player headquarters and fight number of enemies, single enemies might work, depend how much firepower and speed, I guess spilt is more deadly to player who want get out.
