Trying to understand the Right Click function

I see when I shoot I have to shoot with the middle button, but in the combat tutorial it could work with the right button, can't get why...
On Hud mode it says "Right Mouse Button Mode" and "right mouse button cannot be remapped". Then, how does it actually work as shoot button in the Combat Tutorial ?
