Burst ray heat

I am not sure this is a bug or not, but I find very odd that Burst Ray guns continue to heat up if you hold the fire button, even when they do not fire.

Have you tried the Muon Charger yet? That's a weapon you can charge up for extra damage, maybe the burst ray can be charged for extra damage too?
