Artefacts / partial textures / invisible modules [SOLVED]

Hi,

In the PHQ-quest I build the dock, but for some reason it is not visible. Just a load of partial textures/artefacts (black pixelized spots). See screenshots in link below. I think I tried everything to resove:

Check if dock was 100% build = OK / Builder was hired & paid - finished job on dock / Assigned manager / 2nd module planned
Ships accept orders to dock: they land/dock but in an invisible dock. Ships seems to hang in space. I can exit the ship and walk around, but floating in space.
Latest NVIDIA drivers for GTX1080Ti / Win10 1903 / TM16000M / Razer Naga
Tried almost all graph settings - no resolve
This happens in retail 2.60 and latest beta 3.0 (391053)

Before this issue showed itself in the PHQ, I occasionaly noticed it before in stations where parked ship showed the same anomaly.

That really sounds like a graphics card and/or driver struggling. Given that they are updated, new and powerful, I would first check that the card is getting enough power from your psu and is not overheating.

Going by the screenshots, it is possible that your stations have been slightly moved when adding or removing modules. If that happens, the whole station can deconstruct and then reconstruct in its 'new' location. That may also explain why you have seen this before elsewhere too. Are there any signs of the black pixels increasing or decreasing in density? The reconstruction process might stall if vital resources gained from the deconstruction are removed from the station or build storage before they are reused.

I'm just floating theories at this stage as the devs will have to look further at your data to be certain. To that end, a link to a vanilla save that shows the issue would be very handy.

Thanks for your thoughts! Just added the save. When I notice the effect on ships in other stations I see indeed the textures 'fill up'. However, this process never ends. Suddenly the ships lifts off and gets its full textures.
In regard to the card and PSU: power and heat do not seem to be the issue. Next to that, I only see texture issues in the described situations. Rest of X4 is all ok, same for any other game.
I deliberatly took frequent screenshots of the 'pixelized' dock to see if it changed like the ships do, but this is not the case. Hopefully the save will help!

What you're seeing there with the floating pixels is the effect the game applies when something is under construction or being recycled.

Indeed.

The module was stil under construction.

What the issue actually is and what threw me off:

- The plan-menu showed the dock at "100%" (bug #1 ?)
- The station accepted docking requests while construction was not ready yet (bug #2 ?)
- Docking was actually possible in empty space as was exiting the ship (bug #3 ?)
