Station Production Chain [2.6]

Does anyone know how to set up a supply chain? I’ve tried just about everything under the sun. Distribute wares with and without black lists. Restricting trade with other factions on the station. I’ve assigned ships to trade for the station, with and without trading black lists.

For example, I have a Hull Parts production station. I want the parts it needs to be supplied ONLY by my stations that produce those parts. I don’t want my stations to buy parts - that I’m already producing - from other factions. I have a station in the same sector that produces the correct wares. I have tried multiple combinations of orders to get a ship to automatically run supplies from one station to the other. So far, nothing is working. Does anyone know what might be wrong?

make sure your factory has a manager
go into plan build and scroll to manage build materials.
use the global bar to reduce the prices to 6 or 7 %
then click all the bullets next to each item on the list and its corresponding bar will go grey.

set your supply factory to exclude NPC on the commodities you are supplying your own factories.
set the sell price of each product to absolute minimum

use a 3 star pilot or above in your freighter.
select the freighter in map view
right click your factory
use trading for from its context menu.

Enable restricted trades in Logical Overview for all the wares you only wanted traded internally. Then assign freighters as trade subordinates to the stations. As long as the stations are only a few sectors away it really is that simple.
