Probably already been suggested, but I've just created my 1st wharf this weekend, keeping the wharf itself uncluttered, with a series of megafactories situated around it. - What I'd expected was my own traders to ferry goods from these supply-chain factories to my wharf, but what I'm seeing is them trading small quantities elsewhere and mainly third party traders coming in and ferrying goods between my player factories. - - I've *just* set up a trader to 'distribute wares' in sector, and that's a bit of a hit and miss affair, but what I would have liked is for the potential to create 'proper' supply chains where the wharf/shipyard manager can reserve a proportion of the inventory of other factories for his/her traders, or simply fully control them as if they part of the wharf's logical overview.
And I really wish new ships were built in the fabrication place rather than the repair unit!

Suggest setting up blacklists so your supply factory freighters can only travel to the sector where you built your shipyard & exclude trade with all NPC factions. Should leave them with only 1 viable trade option (the shipyard).

Turn on restrict trading for the wares in logical overview. This means they can only be sold or brought with your stations.
Then assign ships as trade subordinates. Use ones with lots of storage as subordinates for the warf.

This is what I did and it works fine for me.Imperial Good wrote: ↑Tue, 10. Mar 20, 09:41 Turn on restrict trading for the wares in logical overview. This means they can only be sold or brought with your stations.

Humans are deuterostomes, which means that when they develop in the womb the first opening they develop is the anus.
This means that at one point you were nothing but an asshole.
Some people never develop beyond this stage.

Brilliant, thank you! Using blacklists had some unintended consequences, but this way seems to have all available goods now making their way to my wharf.Imperial Good wrote: ↑Tue, 10. It's crazy that I can build 20 ships in 53 seconds...
