Station traders, miners. distance, profit etc

do anyone know how far station traders can go?? I cant send them for more than 5 sectors...

I think 5 is the max at 5 stars.

Miners in beta are different. Gas miners seem to be limited by the station managers skills and mineral miners by pilot skill.

Yeah, 5 is the limit. However, bear in mind it's 5 gates (not necessarily 5 sectors) & covers a huge amount of the map. The distinction is important since it's literal gates; sectors connected by accelerators & superhighways don't count against the limit. From a central location it's pretty much everywhere apart from a handful of sectors, mostly Xenon, right out on the fringes. Even from a remote location it's generally still at least 1/2 of the map. For example, ships controlled by my shipyard in Antigone Memorial can reach Silent Witness & 18 Billion in the north, Nopileos Fortune & Pontifex's Claim in the south - a vast area with plenty of stations to trade with.

Not in my game - range of all station traders & miners (both gas & mineral) is determined by station manager's skill. As a quick test (to see if anything had changed in the beta) removed the assignment from one of my mineral miners, replaced the pilot with one of the service crew (effectively 1* pilot), reassigned to the station & still had a range of 5 gates.
