Yes, there is actually a story about a teladi whos seta got stuck and died iirc. Might be from the X3 xtc mods news articles though, where there are other stories about the effects of prolonged seta use, I think.

Shouldn't it be the reverse? SETA speeds up time from your perspective, so 1 pilot hour = x hours outside.

I thought it was like cryo sleep, time doesnt speed up, everything inside the ship slows down,

Can see why you have to build your own Seta instead of buying them? They probably got banned by all the factions.
