Hello!
Is there any chance we could get a toggle option deciding wether or not ships from other players are highlighted with a different colour as they currently are or the same look in the menus as all other ships? I find that the current implementation is a bit too much in your face. It is no big deal in the grand scheme of things however I would greatly enjoy it if we could be given the option to disable their highlight colour so that I have to look out for them myself rather than have the game announce to me that they're there.
So in short, could we get a toggle option deciding if visitor ships are highlighted or not?
Could we get an option to toggle the yellow visitor names? - Added in a future build.

I find it puts a big target on that ships back. First time I saw a venture ship, it was my new #1 priority to blow that trade ship out of the sky immediately! I laughed but then felt bad after I got a -5 rep to the other playerPeanutcat wrote: ↑Fri, 24. Jan 20, 18:46 Hello!

Maybe I'm just evil but couldn't help it.....

The bright yellow is very in your face agreed.
Thats why any of the ships I send out have as long a name as will fit.
Sorry if my ships have filled your map with silly meaningless long names.

Re: Could we get an option to toggle the yellow visitor names?
Its been a while since I played the game (still waiting for a fix to make the game start on my machine which is being worked on) ..
But I remember the main reason I turned visitors off in the games preferences was because they look really in your face, aesthetically they contrast too much.
As the OP said, I think I would be happier to allow them if they did not announce themselves as visitors so obviously, and I had to check them out to find out if they were visitors instead.
Although another thought I had was "Do these visitors add to the amount of civilians already in a sector, and have a slight bearing on game performance" ?
If the answer to that is yes, I would rather turn them off. If the amount of jobs in a sector for civilians reduces to accommodate visitors in their stead, that would also be better.
But anyway the performance question asside, the main issue is how much they stand out which puts me off allowing them more than anything.
Never sent any of my own, due to having them turned off completely for the above reasons.
