In taxi missions, passengers get stuck in M, L, XL ships because they are too big to dock with the mission target ships.
These taxi missions can't be completed and therefore need to be aborted.
Possible fix:
Currently, the "Comm" function on a passenger done on the ship's "Information" panel is broken.
When fixed, this should allow the player to ask the passenger to board one of the player's other ships.
This should function similarly to when the player asks an NPC to work elsewhere.
Does the mission complete if the player docks with the same station as the mission target ship?
I didn't get a chance to try this.

I suppose an alternative might be for the mission to detect and tell you if your current ship is unsuitable before the mission is fully accepted and the passenger boards. That is similar to how X3 worked these missions when you needed to be in a TP but weren't.
A dog has a master; a cat has domestic staff.

Yup, that would also do.
And as a pivot, I do miss taxi mission for groups - like in X3.
