Rebuilding a faction
Is there a way to rebuild a faction when they no longer have any shipyards, faction representative or builder ships?
I took over the Holy Vision sector, then let the Xenon invade it and claim it as their own. The HOP have no construction vessels, the only sectors they control are Cardinal's Redress and Lasting Vengeance. There are construction sites for a Shipyard, a Wharf, and an Equipment Dock, but they are not being built as they have no builders. I own a large Shipyard which they use to build all sorts of ships (fighters, destroyers, freighters, etc) but I have no blueprints for the Heracles Sentinel. And it seems that their representative is nowhere to be found, as when I ask HOP ships for directions, I get sent to the ALI representative instead.
Any ideas?

Factions should be rebuilding their shipyards and such if they have sectors. Look through their space and see if they are trying to rebuild the shipyards and help them rebuild them by providing the resources they need

They are currently producing Hull Parts, Claytronics and Energy Cells, so the basic resources for building the actual station (without turrets) are there. But at the construction sites, still nothing is happening. I assume this is because they have no builder class ships.
I also assume that if I had the blueprint for their builders, the Heracles Sentinel, they would be using my shipyard to construct them

Does anyone know what happens to faction representative once his station got destroyed?
It move to somewhere else?

Re: Rebuilding a faction
In theory, it's supposed to respawn at a different station of that faction. The initial location of HAT's faction representative in my game was the Argon Defence Station in Hatikvah's Choice, which was obliterated by the Xenon. Asking a HAT ship for directions to the faction representative guided me to a HAT Free Port in Silent Witness which I did not know about.
In my situation with the HOP, I have no faction rep and if I ask for directions I seem to get pointed to the closest representative no matter the faction, which in my case was the ALI.
I'm not sure this is supposed to happen, sounds like a bug to me

Re: Rebuilding a faction
Pretty sure faction reps will only spawn on certain types of stations, like shipyards, repair stations, and trade stations. I do not think they are set up to spawn anywhere else.
As for the construction sites, they most likely aren't getting the resources they need. I actually saw an issue where HAT was trying to rebuild their free trade station in Hatikvah and for some reason the construction site wasn't putting out the buy orders (I couldn't just go into the menu and sell the stuff to the build storage) However, when I docked at the build storage, I could see they wanted to buy resources. Once I loaded them up with resources they finally started building.

Can't you buy a builder yourself, put in their sector and let it search for building assignments? I thought NPC faction can hire your CV.raUlo wrote: ↑Tue, 17. Tried this. 3 construction sites in the sector, and my builder would instead go towards a gate to leave the current sector (not sure about its destination), so it doesn't seem to work.Kalanur wrote: ↑Tue, 17. I also tried BlackRain's suggestion to dock with the build storage and fill up all the wares. No trade offers remain, yet the station still won't build

It might be going elsewhere, try limiting it to just that sector if possible. Are you sure it has all the resources it needs? Maybe it is already waiting for a CV, not sure.raUlo wrote: ↑Tue, 17. The factions have limitless money. If you have their blueprints, they will happily buy ships from you. They will put down station plots, and even if they have no trading ships, your ships could supply build materials for their factories. There are a number of ways a faction could come back from the brink, since money is no object to them.

If they won't hire your builders, and don't have any of their own, there's still a way to save them. Fly around their space until you get a 'Build Station' mission, and add an XL Fabrication module to the design (and maybe some extra storage space). Once it completes and gets turned over, they should be able to use it to make some builders, and those can start to rebuild their stations.

Re: Rebuilding a faction
Great idea, it's working. The newly built station is seen as a shipyard and the faction representative showed up, so I went on to buy the builder blueprints. I can already see some builders being constructed at my own shipyard.INSANEcyborg wrote: ↑Wed, 18.
