"you cannot start missions in a modified game"

Hi everybody!

Once again, excellent job on a brilliant game!

I am getting a message that says "you cannot start missions with a modified game."

The thing is, my game is unmodified.

Is there anything that I can do to correct this besides restart or restore from an earlier save?

Your savegame has clearly become modified somehow, and I'm afraid once that happens it can't be undone. Before you try loading any earlier saves, make sure that you run a file verification using the Steam client (assuming you're using Steam) to check that none of the game files have become corrupted. As you load each save, check whether it shows as modified before continuing. Also, just in case this is relevant, please note that playing a game with a mod installed and then uninstalling that mod does not revert a savegame to being unmodified.
