(2.6) X4 Game Crash on Scientific Plot Mission

After I plant the Satelite and Probe the game crash to desktop. Happens every time, tried about 20 times.
I have updated graphics driver Nvidia 1070m, turned off Steam overlay, no change.
I have the latest version of the game, STEAM. 2,6 (368124)
Just started playing.

Update: Tried about 30 times now, still crash every time. I had 5 mods, but have disabled them.
The game crashed to desktop a few times before this also, but only like 3 times total.

First things first, we need the information requested at the top of the forum. Without it, the chances of us being able to help are negligible.

Second, disabling mods does not necessarily remove all of their effects from the game. Unless you can reproduce the problem in a game that was unmodified from the start, we will have to assume that one of the mods you had installed is responsible for the problem.

Finally, if you're able to provide a savegame (unmodified) made shortly before you run into the problem, along with a set of steps to reproduce the crash from there, that would significantly increase our chances of being able to track down the problem if it does turn out to be a game issue rather than a mod one.
