X4 Foundations Two Monitor issue? Any help or ideas to solve or the cause of this? - Resolved.

Not sure what is up but I've returned to playing X4: Foundations after giving some time for the game to come out with some updates since first getting it since it came out. I've played it on and off and had little issues with the game that were minor. However with the latest update, I load it up and its laggy as all hell while its on my 2k Res screen. My right monitor is flickering on and off (while at Full screen and Border less Full screen but fine at Window), but if I switch the Res to 1080p on the game it will switch to my other Screen which is 1080p when it should stay on my 2k res monitor while at full screen. I should also mention while the game is on the 1080p monitor its all fine but now my 2k monitor is completely black now.



Why does this game just hate Full screen so much? Heck its impossible to stream at Full screen but I cant even play it now at full screen. Any ideas or problems that could be happening?

My computer specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel® Core™ Processor i7-8700K
GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
RAM: 16GB (8GBx2) DDR4/3000MHz Dual Channel Memory
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z370XP-SLI ATX

As for the Monitors they are:

"Dell Gaming S2716DG 27.0" Screen LED-Lit Monitor with G-SYNC" (2k with 144hz)

and a

"HP 27 1920x1080 60hz 7ms LED IPS Panel Monitor - 27wm" (1080p 60hz)



Any ideas on how to play at fullscreen and stuff would be great! Thank you for your time!

Update: Tried to run the game with only one screen active which was my main 2k monitor and it worked fine. So it only happens when I have the two monitors activated.

Since the game runs fine in full-screen mode for other people, I think it's safe to assume that this is more likely to be an issue with your system. With full DXDiag and vulkaninfo information, as requested at the top of the forum, we may be able to offer some suggestions as to what the problem might be. Note that even if other games are running in full screen on your system, this doesn't automatically imply that this game is at fault. In addition to the point that X4 uses Vulkan, where many other games DirectX or OpenGL, every game stresses a system differently and can expose different underlying faults.

This issue was something to do on my side as something glitched out with windows. I was able to get it working for myself. Thank you for the reply though!
