Effects of completing war missions?
What effect does completing war missions have on faction behavior? Does it make them behave more aggressively towards the other factions, such as launching large scale invasions? Or are they just fluff which have no actual bearing on the behavior of the factions? Anybody know for sure with this? I am hoping that by doing enough war missions, I will trigger some sort of more warlike behavior on behalf of my chosen faction, but I do not know if it will. If not, I'll just wage war directly on their enemy, not bothering with actual war missions, which IMO do not actually do anything to tangibly help out your faction.

Considering that they aren't even using the ships you bring via the "Assemble Fleet" missions, and the... um, dubious nature of most of their requests, I'd say fluff.

I know the missions are fluff, I was just wondering if completing some early war missions would unlock more interesting, substantive missions later, or if completing missions would trigger the AI factions to launch bigger invasions.radcapricorn wrote: ↑Sat, 21. I really hope this improves. In the survey after release one of the top points was that players want to see an impact of what they do. Especially that missions are useful and changing something.
