How do you order all Mand S class ships to dock with their capital ship hosts?

I have three destroyers with 10 bombers and about 120 fighters. I want to pack them all up in the destroyers (i.e. get them all to dock) before moving through a gate into a Xenon sector.

I can see no obvious order available to achieve this. How is it done?

Use shift click to select all the fighters on the map.

Then right click on your destroyer in the map menu and select dock.

the way the mechanics work at present is the parent ship will order subordinates to dock that can fit on the top bay only for travel. What I mean is if like say you have an Oddy with 1M and 2S docks, even though it can hold more than 3 ships, it will only order 1M and 2S ships to dock, provided the docks are not occupied by another craft. It will not move them into storage automagically. The best option is to stage the fighters manually in the parent ship before assigning them escort roles, get the parent ships to where you want them to go, then assign the escort role before attacking.

It's annoying but not as bad as it sounds. The ships with docked craft have a sorted list in the map, so you can expand the docked ships list, shift click them and right click to defend fairly quickly.

I just remove all orders from the carrier and use recall subordinates. Sadly it recalls everything so you have destroyers etc performing different tasks they'll also be recalled.

I find if you highlight all fighters and tell them to manually dock they will just remain docked unless told otherwise or you use recall subordinate command to reset the fighters orders.

Edit: Another thing in my fleet i can only get the fighters to dock at the carriers and deploy automatically, this doesn't work with my cerberus or behemoth subordinates (Fighters). They sadly never dock unless ordered manually,even if recall subs is used they will just follow and defend it's carrier rather than dock.
