Pilots reporting "Ah-waiting orders", gets annoying

This notice by pilots reporting that they are "waiting order" when they have shot a enemy or something WHEN they have standing order like "Protect position", is getting really annoying. I have given them standing orders they do NOT need to report that every time they've done something.

For the time being you can disable the "Awaiting orders" notification in global commands. However, this would also disable useful reports from ships that you'd actually like to receive. Still better, IMHO, than getting spammed by your patrols all the time. Hopefully, they'll address this eventually.

I would like to know when the pilot has arrived so I can instruct him to proceed to the next task. Since it can be disabled it is pretty much a non-issue.

But it is an issue. See, if you disable the notification globally, you then don't get the one you're talking about. If you don't, you do, but you also get constant spam from patrolling/defending units, which report "awaiting orders" every time they make a kill, even though they do have standing orders.

I've got a fully armed an operational bayamon sitting outside a khak base and every time it kills something the pilot sass "waiting for orders"...

If you want a work around, if they're a subordinate, they wont spam you with those notices. For example, I dock a ship of any type at any random station, assign a patrol wing to defend that ship but send the wing off to where ever and assign it a protect order instead of a default defend role, and you can chain subordinates as well to only have to give orders to 1 ship. Can even do the same thing with station subordinates.

Good to know. But if you don't need to use that kind of subordinates, this workaround seems to be too convoluted for me...
I think I'll just stick to the default toggle...

This is clearly a bug, and a pretty annoying one at that. No ship should ever report awaiting orders to you when they have orders still in their queue. This basically makes any orders that involve defending anything mass spam orders.

eh i wouldn't go that far. there's plenty of times where I want ships i have performing a default task, perform some other short lived task - i want to know that is finished. Such as, ships on patrol I'll occasionally give them a "collect drops" order. But going from attack order back to patrol, no, i don't need to know that... just tell me if you're in trouble otherwise leave meh alone.

I had some destoyers in a fleet paked next to a gate, taking care of anything that came through, which happened quite frequently. I got a bit tired of this captain repeatedly telling me "awaiting orders" at the end of each combat situations, especially since they had an active order to patrol which I had never cancelled.
