How do I attach the large ship pier to the PHQ?

Adding the docking port is easy. How do I attach that three point large ship pier?

It never seems to go green. If it does, it is not even touching the station. Any ideas?

Placing it first somewhere within your lot & snapping it into place afterwards always did work for me.

It won't attach directly to the PHQ because of interference with the docking areas. You'll need to attach extensions to the PHQ first, such as small docking areas or basic extensions. I usually need three to four of them in a line ahead of the large pier.

Maybe increase the plot size if your hitting the edges or it might just make things easier?

Use an E-dock type pier.
