Money Lost during transfer?

Hey all,

So, I just had an odd issue... I'd extended the build on my station, which needed a further 6 million or so credits. I transferred this across taking my main account balance from 19 million to 13 million. Everything seemed fine. However, some time later I noticed that my station wasn't buying the construction resources it needed. I check the balance and it's at 17 thousand yet it's bought NOTHING. I double check my own account and it's still at 13 million, where did my 6 million credits go? There are no incoming ships, so it's not like stuff is on the way.

At this game stage, building my first station, money is tight, so losing 6 million due to what appears to be a bug is a bit of a blow.

Has anyone else experienced this? Not had this one before myself, possibly a 2.5 thing?

Note: I'd manually loaded slightly more resources than the build needed to get it to the stage it was at. It has some Hull Parts and Energy Cells left over but was almost out of Claytronics. The 6 million should have been more than enough to purchase what was needed for the additional modules - at FULL price - yet the money is gone, or failed to transfer properly.

Is there any way to get back my missing credits? I assume I can save edit like in Rebirth?

If you are okay with “modified” you can search for the exact value of your credits and replace that with your previous balance.

Replace all, not just the first one.

I did this when one of my first destroyers went on a suicide mission against a defense station rather than going where ordered to go.

Yeah, that doesn't worry me - in fact I've already done the edit as I couldn't explain where the money went. I even checked the prior saves and could see the credit drop.

I think it's perfectly reasonable to edit in some cash when there's a valid reason to do so, such as this bug. I'll be extra vigilant now in case it happens again...6 million isn't much in the scheme of station builds, I could easily have lost hundreds of millions if at a later point in the game.

Does the station have an assigned ship missing? Maybe it could have bought the resources but then lost them along with the carrying ship. Alternatively, could a carrying ship have been ambushed and escaped but told to drop its freight?

Just some wild guesses.
