Is there a way to get rid of the highways?
I can't stand the highways, they just kill the whole space travel thing for me. Bring back jumpdrives. Anyone working on a script for this?

Despite's its faulty name, this mod does remove the highways completely.
However, once you've installed the mod, your savegame will be marked as 'modified' which disables certain features from your gameplay (such as Steam Achievements and Ventures).

I've been playing with this mod myself for a while now and it's a completely different X4 feeling - for the better, I think. Personally, I've never regretted swapping the venture option for a **modified**, and the 'No Highway Mod' is a clear 'must have' for me, as are the 'Legacy Music Mode' and 'No random encounters' while we're at it.
OP, if you don't like the highways I can only recommend this mod!

Bad Air Gate mod removes the Superhiways also and adds a lot of new sectors. I use it along with VRO to speed up the ships and get rid of the stupidly-drain your shields boost that only gets you killed quicker.

Is there a mod that gets rid of Teleporting to anywhere? I hate that more!
1. Please do more on NPC civilian/uniform variety, and bio customisations, Devs.
2. Stations need sirens/warnings when enemy is close in numbers or Station in danger of destruction (in Sandbox).
Yes, for immersion. Thankyou ahead of time. (Edit: This is actually happening!!!)
