I've amassed forces to protect the entrance to Hatikvah's Choice I, but at some point the enemy forces seem to have depleted and from the dozens of Ps and Ks stationed in Tarka, there are almost none now, however they keep spawning from time to time.
I was wondering, can this sector be taken over?
If yes - is there a way to deal with the shield-eating aura? Xenon seem to have a way around it...
Does the shield-eating aura also damage stations?
Does anything change once this sector is claimed?
Can anything useful be done with tarka's Cascade sector?

Have you tried building stations there and setting an economy? Do they suffer from the aura, esp. the little drones that have no shields? Or do you just have to stay away from the sector?

if you watch a xenon station carefully, it will crank out drones nonstop and the environment eats them up just as quickly. It's a loot factory.
So I would not say the xenon 'deal' with the environment, the whole thing is just scripted somehow.

Correction to OP.
It's not shield eating aura - it's dammage aura - it will eat shields, then hull.
Xenons doesn't have resistance to that aura they will take dammage when you appear IS, but the entire aura don't work in OOS (thus Xenons don't take dammage, when you're not personally present in that sector).

OK, thanks for the conclusions!
Another question - how does shield recharge rate affect it? Can you beat the damage aura with a decent shield recharge mod, for example?

Mines and sector hazards not working OOS needs to be addressed somehow. It's a cool thing to have sectors like Tharka's Cascade, but totally throws immersion when hazards turn off the second you're not around in person (with a thriving economy and traffic in the very same system!).

Agreed. And if that actually happened you'd be a Persona Non Grata and would likely be forbidden to enter the sector. Imagine that, the dude that once gets there, starts making everybody take damage. <Your Name> ruins everything!adeine wrote: ↑Tue, 23.
