More specialized ships and specialized missions please

Yesterday I watched some Star Citizen videos and I saw a kind of TOW SHIP which the player can buy and use to make money by towing disabled ships or various other things. I'd love to see such a thing in X4 along with missions regarding such ships. https://youtu.be/_uOu9btFbq0?t=15

Another thing I'd love to have would be my PERSONAL YACHT. Currently I use a Cerberus with a 'Captain Pearle' paint job to have me chauffeured to various spots like faction representatives for buying new blueprints and stuff or to bring me from one of my stations to another or just for exploring. I guess it would be too much to ask for a yacht like this Star Citizen 600i with all it's interiors but the beautiful and luxury overall design should be doable - oh and please add a passenger cabin with usable seats. https://youtu.be/Um-MPtUL9Nc?t=15

There were "Yacht-type" TP Ships in X3. I guess they will implement them again in a DLC because they really make sense considering you have a real Character now.

TPs in general would be a nice addition to the game again.

Seeing X3TC and AP even more so had this already (except for the actual interiors, but that seems somewhat trivial with how X4 is set up), so I'd almost assume Ego will bring it back, redefine it and expand on it in time :)
(Tow-ship = tractorbeam, just need a dedicated ship for it unlike how it worked in X3. // Yacht = luxury TP.)

Hi guys, sorry but I'm not familiar with all these abbreviations. What does TP and AP mean? I guess X3TC means X3 terran conflict?
Anyway thank you and I'm glad to hear this is in the realm of possibilities. :)

Yes, TP for slaves, marines or just workers would be great, with marine barracks and transport missions involving above mentioned characters in mass

Like a shipyards needs crew for ships, or SCA needs slaves, or marines in defense stations
And NPC TP to fill stations with workers, dont just limit us to this slow waiting to fill them up

Trade stations could be people hubs
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

AP is X3 Albion Prelude, TP is transporter in X3 for people
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

Previous games used standard labels for ships:
M* = combat (military)
T* = transport

M1 to M5 initially later on M6 added and even later M7 and M8 got added.
TS = bulk transport (goods)
TP = 'personal' transport (people)
TL = 'large' transport (stations)

Games:
X3R = Reunion
X3TC = Terran conflict
X3AP = Albion prelude
XR = Rebirth

I could go into weapons now, but you'll probably do not like me doing that :D

Oh dear God! Took me 6 months to figure out all the weapons abbreviations and remember them. I still only knew about maybe 6 missiles in that game. Could not keep track of the rest.

Fighters can have up to four variants, typically having the following characteristics (though there is some variation so these rules do not always hold).

Raider Faster, less shielding and less cargo
Vanguard Faster, sometimes less shielding, sometimes better weapons
Hauler Slower, more cargo space
Sentinel Slower, more shielding, sometimes less cargo space


Small freighters may also have variants, again depending on race and again with not all variants being available for all ships.

Ironically, in X3 Reunion, the (subjectively) best ship was a Paranid yacht you had to tow out of dangerous space. It could dock a small fighter (which was totally awesome for X3R at the time), and cruised oh so nicely.

Would love to find a ship like this while wandering around in X4, with busted engines requiring you to tow it. Ofc X4 would need tractor beams like X3.

Imagine memorizing them all in german because you've played it as a kid in your main language and then rememorizing the english names when you get older...
Atleast the weapons were added per game so you could learn them step by step.

The list is kinda important to discuss "most" gameplay related topics in this forum :wink:

But you're right, well, we can just hope that egosoft adds some mission diversity with later Updates/DLCs. (Since I don't even get proper assassination missions in X4 and I've already saved like 200 weddings by shooting the ring of some Hauler without the means to defend itself. :roll:
