I want to start a new game Unmodded but don't want to lose the progress that I have made in my modded game.
Do I just start "new game" and save it in one of the slots with whatever name I want and be able to swap the out when I want to.
This might be obvious to you but I don't want to take the risk.
Thank's in advance

Re: A new start?
You can save to a new slot, but make sure you disable all your mods if you want to play vanilla. And re-enable when playing your modded save.

Copy your save files into another directory. You can find them in My Documents\Egosoft. You can just rename the subdirectory "save" into "save1" and you have a clean slate. Later you can rename save to save 2 and save1 to save...Scorpion1948 wrote: ↑Tue, 9. Is that the file with all of the numbers, or the one in that folder under extensions/logos then save, do I copy that save file somewhere else then rename the one left behind,RainerPrem wrote: ↑Tue, 9. Sorry to be a bit thick but I grew up way before computer were even thought of, and there was always to many other things to do rather than sit in front of a computer screen, I still have never sent a text.
Or is it safer to disable all of my mods including the Steam mods. Restart and save that file to a new slot.

If you have a windows computer just click on the folder name, then hit F2. Now you can change the name. Once you start the game, a new save folder will be created.
