I didn't play for a few weeks due to RL. I came back to a new build which should be fine I presume BUT...I have SUPER massive lag and I am not sure where its from. I turned down graphics, nothing. cant figure out what else it could be.
1080gtx ti 11gig card i7 7700 64 processor. win 10. 32 gigs 2700 ram. solid state drive for game.Optane quality.
I mean if theis build runs star citizen, well everything runs better than that game.

We can't help unless you give us some information to work with. Start with the things requested at the top of the forum: a DXDiag, a vulkaninfo file, a savegame, and information on whether or not your game is modified.

well since nothing changed from the previous build to this one, I would have to expect its something with the new build. sort of logical id say. the dxdiag just tells you the gear I have 1080gtx ti 11 gig drivers up to date. 32 gigs ram . win 10. i7 7700 processor. solid state drive. the Vulcan info thing..not sure what that is but I have 2 versions of the game. default and a modded one. both have same issues. and when I pushed an image from a couple months ago that has the older verison it ran fine. once re upgraded it lagged badly. so that part has been confirmed.

oh I did test it with a base default start and with my save games (all of them). I also re started a new game just to be sure there wasn't something new added that my save was conflicted with.

It might be logical for it to be a game issue if everyone was experiencing this, but they're not, so there must be something about your specific setup or game.
A DXDiag does not just tell us what gear you have; it tells us what driver versions you have and allows is to spot other unusual issues that you can't get from a basic summary. The same applies to the vulkaninfo. That's why we ask everyone to provide them, and why the means to provide both of them are explained at the top of the forum.
