What if you build a station where there are only storage and dock modules; then directly transfer to it some wares.
Would there be trade offers possibly generating for those wares or you now would be able to set it up?
Sort of like X3 warehouse stations.

You would also add a manager.

If you add a manager you could then generate SELL offers...not tried it myself but the option is there
As an experiment add some ware to an existing station then generate the sell offers in LOGISTAL VIEW and see wot happens

Short answer yes you can use it as an warehouse.... in order to sell you either wait, adjust selling price, make sure it isnt restricted and or subordinate an freighter to the sation. Of course an manager is needed and or cargo drones on station or ship might be needed as well if its an L frighter.

I wanted to do this, however using a transporter with the collect cargo, from killed ships / busting open construction sites to steal the resources. Unfortunately we cannot have our transporter automatically take the stuff and drop them off -.-. It would have been awesome to have a transporter set to collect wares in sector and have a drop off point, play like a scavenger

Ok, I managed to assign a manager, put a few amounts of some wares and managed to have selling prices.
After I assigned mining/trading ships, they show :
current role = mining (or trading)
default behavior = patrol
I cannot change the default behavior. The option to change it is grayed out (there but not clickable). As result, they are doing doing anything.
Any suggestions (without having to create a MOD/script)?
