Guild mission "Prospecting" chain makes no sense

The mission consisted of 4 "Prospecting" steps. Three of them took place in the same sector, looking for the same materials. So I literally had to just go back and forth between two points in the same sector (ore and ice), picking up and dropping the same resource probes, three times, with each one-way trip completing another step of the mission.
