The devs are aware and are looking into a way to *possibly* come up with a fix in a later build...2.0 bugs did it to lots of people's sectors...i was sort of lucky 2.0 killed my game and it happened in 4 sectors then but I had to go back to 1.6 and since then only ARgon Prime got shrunk

The game has the ability to expand the sector. But there is no compression mechanism. Expansion can occur for various reasons, teleportation errors of drones and ships. Errors auto miners or failures in the game rarely when the player decides to go to the "delta sector."
