Split from 'Next Steps' Sticky

Post by DJC »

This is in response to my Post at viewtopic.php?f=146&t=403775#p4763638

Well much to my dismay it seams that the requested control of this Topic
Implemented in 2.20 Was not implemented the same way as in the X Games
that preceded it. For some reason you still cant map the left mouse button
for firing or anything for that matter. Maybe this is due to its use for the
menu, even though there should be no conflict between the two. It was possible
in the previous games. I know I mentioned mapping the "right mouse button" in
this topic, an apparent typo by me, But I still referred to the "left mouse button" for
bore-sight fire in the same sentence. While mapping the "middle mouse button"
can take the place of the Fire option, it is still not the same. However I would probably
not be complaining about this if it were the only issue. Whenever you go to the in game
menu or anyplace that stops you from flying (ie any menu, leaving the ship) the
control goes back to default. So you have to turn it back on again this can get
rather tedious during flight or in a battle. It really feels like this was just tossed
back in with out thought just to appease those of us that wanted this option reinstated.
I would ask that you please fix the "going back to default" issue as well as letting us map
the "LEFT" mouse button.

Before I go I would like to say that even though I am disappointed with the out come of this
Fix I am, as I am sure others are as well, happy with your diligence to fix issues as best and as fast
as you can.
Attention: All of your ships are under attack

There is no need to post the same thing in multiple threads. Your own thread on this topic was the appropriate place.
