2.20 bug - Joystick inputs semi-ignored [Not Solved]

Post by balmTrojan »

Thrustmaster Flight Stick X is the stick. I've been using it without issue until I came to play this evening. I undocked but the moment I tried to steer upwards or roll left, the input gets stuck and the ship slowly pitches up/rolls left and won't stop until I hit enter (menu). It does still seem to register input as there is 'head movement'. AS soon as I close the menu and the moment I make an input it just slowly spins again. Thrust is working fine though - but boost button also just accelerates to top speed and doesn't actually boost.

Windows control panel is registering the input fine when testing it and I've never had an issue with X4 until this patch released. I've tried the usual, restart pc, unplug and re-plug the joystick but it seems like too much of a coincidence to not be the patch which updates movement. Am I missing something?

I've attached my save below with button mappings and config in the zip

Edit: Correction after further testing

Ok, I'm a dumbass. I think there is potentially something there but I doubt it's worth looking into.

I teleported to another ship and it stopped doing it. Changed back to the original and it's stopped doing it (though leaving the seat and just sitting back down didn't) :gruebel:

I'd delete the post but it might come in handy if anyone else has this issue - so there you have it.

The slow spin to the left is something I've struggled with, it doesn't matter which of my T 16000M joysticks I use, or both, I still get the anti-clockwise spin around the Y-axis: noting that the z and y axis are incorrectly oriented in this game, Cartesian third dimension.
