[2.0] Wharf storage problem - Save needed
I build my first Wharf with 15 Large container storage (10x Argon L and 5x Teladi L):
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1685591803
Unfortunately I noticed that my wharf did a very strange max resource compartments for all the ship building resources:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/ ... 1685591849
There are very tiny storage for Engine parts and Anti matter converters - this means my wharf is constantly on hold because even ordering 2 or 3 fighters will eat all the storage. This means I have to either wait for wharf transport to get the good or babysit the wharf and manually supply it.
You can also notice that there is a storage for 8 MILION Energy cells (!!!!!!!!!) - I'm quite sure I don't need as many EC (also 700k smart chips might be a bit overkill too) - think this might be the reason why Engine part and Anti matter converters have such tiny storage.

Re: [2.0] Wharf storage problem
It's not as severe but the same problem exists with the AI Wharfs too. They don't have enough storage for Engine Parts, which is part of why they always seem to be out of stock. A single load of 7-8 ships will consume its entire storage of them, so even when there aren't production shortages they are constantly out of parts because the traders are unable to put enough in storage to build up a buffer like the other resources can.

Re: [2.0] Wharf storage problem
Have you tried to add another storage unit? At regular stations i saw, that it causes some kind of redistribution of storage space (= the ressources, that had a low parameter, get much more additional space then the ones who had a high one).

AMD 7800x3d, RX 9070, 32gb RAM. Now we're talking

Re: [2.0] Wharf storage problem
Nope - adding new storages doesn't change anything - it makes storage bigger but still the "small one" remain "the small one" (doesn't reballance the storage e.g Engine max storage rose from 500 units to 600 units).
The only solution I found is adding production module for the resource that has "smalll max storage" - this will expand the storage to "normal level" (Engine parts jumped from 600 units max storage to 77'000 units).
However this is also not ideal solutino because wharf traders will no longer buy "Engine Parts" for the Wharf as they becom product not resorce.

On all complex's that I have fitted wharfs and shipyards to , they only generate buy orders not sell orders .check trade offers on your station
I made a post about this before that if you want your large complex's to keep selling all their top level wares DONT attach wharfs or 'Yards
It shouldnt affect the buy order

Re: [2.0] Wharf storage problem
We've seen odd storage allotments on player-owned Wharfs and Shipyards based on the known blueprints. Did you buy blueprints for compatible engines?
If the people building the ships don't know what they need to build decent engines they won't know to order a proper amount of Engine Parts.
If that isn't the case (and this problem is still visible in an unmodified 2.20 save) then I'd be very interested in a savegame to take a closer look.

I only had those blueprints when I started and finished my wharf:
S All-round Engines mk.1
M All-round Engines mk.1
S All-round Thrusters mk.1
M All-round Thrusters mk.1
Later on I also buyed other types of mk.1 engines and thrusters, but didn't noticed any change in storage until I build Engine parts production module.

All of those are ultra cheap engines and thruster. It is unlikely you will ever run out of engine parts building those despite the tiny storage. For example the ARG M all-round engine Mk 1 costs just 5 engine parts and 3 antimatter converters, with the m all-round thrusters mk 1 costing just 4 engine parts and 4 anti matter converters.mr.WHO wrote: ↑Wed, 20. To do the maths for you, assuming each M ship has 1 engine and 1 thruster, that meant you could build 82 M ships before running out of engine parts from full. That hardly seems small to me. Now since S ships have multiple engines one can expect them to burn engine parts faster, however the mk1 allround engines and thrusters do not even need antimatter converters so one is looking at a good 40+ S ships before running out of engine parts.
I suggest buying a few engine and thruster Mk 3 plans. You might find that storage amounts become much more reasonable for engine parts and antimatter converters. Those engines cost hundreds of them each.

The Wharf that was added to the complex in Argon Prime has literally just been built or is about too. at the moment its shown as a defense station.
The Smart Chip increase in storage is 550000 this I think is related to what is happening here
No it is .
If you check it hardley increased Hull part allocaton but massively increased MIssile and Smart chip allocation

Probably worth waiting untill the rest of the construction happens that way you can see is each element is added
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1iuJj4 ... hna9VnSTPH
The above save shows the Factory element fully finished before the build for the wharfs and yards is started
And if you need a Comparison to a Build b4 2.2 check the storage levels in the shipyard in Trinity Sanctum...they are way way different yet virtually the same amount of factory's
And I own ALL blueprints apart from Condor Sentinel
Same Wharfs first then Yards contruction..

Ok watching the construction against what happens in storege..... adding the shipyard to the wharf balances the stock requirements e-cells went from 1.1mil back to 800k
Schips dropped back to 300k from the 650k and engine parts and hull parts which I think the op had problems with doubled....so advice build wharf and yard together

I wa thinking about building the Shipyard, but I heard about the bug that Shipyards take out Station workforce and crew when building ships - has this been fixed?

I think so...workforce has carried on INcreasing despie endless ODDY's being built.
When I added the Wharf/Yard it was 5000/12000 that now gone up to 9000/12000
