Clear out tracker mines
Anyone find a way to clear the massive amount of these around the jump gate in Faulty Logic 7? I've flipped it but those mines make it hard to set much up there.

There is no way, and they spawn procedurally anyways AFAIK, so even if you could clear them all out, they would probably respawn the moment you left and reentered the system.
I think the devs wanted to create obstacles so that the players couldn't wipe out the Xenon. Not that it has stopped people from doing so.

If you claim the sector the mines should be friendly i guess.
Are those FF mines?

Faulty logic VII and Tharka's crusade XV are best conquered OOS, the mines and ever present burn damage will decimate your ships. Whenever I need to move fleets through those sectors, I wait in another ship somewhere else OOS until they've moved to the next system.

It would be nice if, as part of sector ownership overhaul, it was possible to add or remove areas for mines to be set up.

Agree about Faulty Logic VII, frankly the Xenon can keep it as far as I'm concerned. Tharka's Cascade XV however is another matter. That one can be conquered without having to resort to OOS tactics - just done it.Karmaticdamage wrote: ↑Sat, 16. The danger zone does not cover the entire sector, just a broad circle in the centre. Fly far enough away & it no longer causes damage to ships. L & XL ships have sufficiently powerful shields to be able to withstand the effects more than long enough to destroy stations before retreating to the fringes of the sector to let shields recharge. Xenon capitals can also be lured into the safe zone to fight them without the added complication of continuous damage. Would however advise against using fighters in the danger zone - didn't try it, but doubt their shields would last long enough to be useful. Incidentally, docked ships (even those on surface docks) seem to be protected from the harmful effects.

Tharka's Cascade XV is not meant to have a finite range hazard field, since the entire solar system is meant to suffer from the problem. It only has one because the hazard field is declared with a finite size.
The mines in Faulty Logic are spawned similar to asteroids, in procedurally generated fields that repeat infinitely as far as I can tell. That said they only are a Hazard when you are nearby. And even then you can fly a Nemesis through them at 6km/sec without ever getting hit by them (or at least unlikely to).
